Hideaki Akimoto

Hideaki Akimoto (Hideaki Hank Akimoto) is a global executive with over 25 years of experience in the field of international business, having built a track record in managing multinational companies in Japan, the United States, Europe, and South America, as well as in new business development and open innovation promotion. Currently, as CEO of AMS Inc., he is focusing on launching new businesses based on his Stanford University fellowship (medical device development).
She completed her BBA in International Business at Temple University and continued to improve herself, earning her ICF-certified coaching qualification. She is also a fellow at Stanford University, where she is involved in cutting-edge initiatives in the fields of global health and innovation.
In his career, he has served as CEO of AMS Inc. since 2025, leading the launch of new businesses in the healthcare field. Prior to that, he promoted open innovation strategies as Vice President at Yazaki Innovations from 2022 to 2025. Furthermore, from 2021 to 2022, he served as VP, Innovation at Yazaki North America, where he was involved in partnering with startups and promoting new product development.
From 2015 to 2019, he served as president of Yazaki's overseas subsidiaries in Italy, Colombia, and Germany, demonstrating leadership in a multicultural organization spanning four countries, and contributing to the development of global talent and regional strategies.
To date, he has led the Radar Bootcamp in collaboration with VALUENEX, successfully launching two new business areas, and built over 100 business connections through networking with Japanese companies based in Silicon Valley. He has also collaborated with numerous startups, achieving remarkable results in promoting global open innovation.
He continues to utilize his multicultural perspective in management within an organization with diverse nationalities and cultures, and is expected to continue to play a role as a business leader connecting Japan with the world.
